My words come from numb lips. Lips so used and chapped that the words they produce go unheard. I could scream sonnets from the bottom of my heart and they would never meet the opening to your ear. I love too hard. Like a long awaited one night-stand in a beaten down motel room. I love too long. A commitment no one but myself is ready for. My mind is full of promises that pour into my words. Fortunately, my words go unheard. Fortunately, no one relies on me, so I rely on no one. Fortunately, I am alone. More alone than my mind will ever conceive. I cannot grasp the concept of "forever." Nor can I grasp the concept of "here and now".

Let's start an art revolt. Let's start a riot against the splatter paint artists who don't own brushes. Let's burn the scrolls of the nonsense rhymers who've memorized the "word book". Let's erase the over thought photograph. Let's paint over the words some freak tried to carve in the wall. Let's rescale the too small hearts and redraw the misshapen eyes that oddly resemble guns. Wipe the dye off of your face and draw a grin. Take away the needle. Wash off the so called darkness. Turn down the contrast. Turn up the features.
